Writing your own
TiddlyWiki
The fxEditor plugin for TiddlyWiki 5.4 and later adds an Equation button to the tiddler editor's toolbar. It opens the equation editor, and inserts the equation into the tiddler as MathML (the default) or an SVG image. Try it — edit the tiddler (the pencil), then press Equation:
Preview. Tested against TiddlyWiki 5.4.1. The plugin, and a whole wiki with it installed, are in the download in Customise and download.
Installation
The plugin is a single file, codecogs-eqneditor.json —
download it, or
take it from the download below. Drag it onto your wiki and confirm the import, then save and
reload. The Equation button appears in the
editor toolbar.
Customise and download
Make the equation editor your own: choose what it shows, drag panels from
More panels into up to three toolbar rows, and pick a colour and sizes. The preview is
the real TiddlyWiki page, rebuilt as you go. Then add your licence key and download it: an
example.html with a page of equations to edit, loading everything it needs from
fxplugins.codecogs.com.

Your design
The option that gives TiddlyWiki this design — it is already in the download. Leave it out and the editor uses the standard design.
Your key is in the licence manager on fxEditor — or get one. Without a key, the download still works: equations show why they cannot render until you add one.
Complete example
The whole of the page running above: a simple, complete HTML page that loads TiddlyWiki and the
plugin. Every file comes from fxplugins.codecogs.com, so it works as it is —
put in your own licence key. (Keys are shortened here.)
Settings
Each setting is a tiddler. Create the ones you need:
$:/config/codecogs/eqneditor/Licence | Your fxEditor licence key. Required. |
$:/config/codecogs/eqneditor/Design | The editor's look, as JSON: dialog width, height and scale, toolbar panels and size, colour, equation and markup sizes, undo/redo. Build one in Customise and download, which writes this tiddler for you. |
$:/config/codecogs/eqneditor/Server | Host the equation editor is loaded from: fxtex.codecogs.com. |
$:/config/codecogs/eqneditor/RenderUrl | The fxTeX Server that draws equations inserted as images: https://fxtex.codecogs.com, or your own. |
$:/config/codecogs/eqneditor/ScriptUrl, …/CssUrl | Full URLs of the editor bundle and its stylesheet, when the defaults do not suit. |
A licence covers the domain the wiki is served from. A wiki opened from a file on your own computer has no domain for the licence to match, so serve it from your licensed site, or ask us.
